Listing your frames is an extremely effective way to get product information out to your current customers as well as to reach potential new ones. FRAMES Data Quarterly, our flagship publication for over 40 years, is widely known as the independent optical dispensary’s source for information about frames. But by listing your frames in our database, they are also included in a number of other products as well. Excluding data feeds and other customized solutions, active frame listings are distributed a minimum of 32 times a year, and are available 24/7 on our website. Here are the ways we distribute frame information to our subscribers:

FRAMES Data Quarterly (print and CD Rom)/Price Book
Subscribers to FRAMES Data Quarterly and Price Book are retail frame dispensers who use these products to research new frames and decide which brands to stock, show their patients frames they don’t currently have on site, and submit accurate insurance claims.

SPEX UPC
SPEX UPC is a monthly CD Rom subscription that retail dispensaries use to load frame information directly into their practice management software, eliminating errors and data entry work. As ECPs convert to using software packages to run their businesses, SPEX UPC is becoming an indispensable tool in the well-run dispensary. For many dispensers, it is absolutely essential that new frames be in SPEX UPC so that they can receive them into inventory correctly.

Tracing Points
Frames Data generates a trace file for every frame we list to produce Tracing Points. Used both by large national lab networks as well as independent labs and integrated retailers, Tracing Points allows users to select the most appropriate lens blank for the prescription, even before the frames arrive in the lab. The result is a turn around time that is reduced by as much as 24 hours.

FRAMES Data Online/Web Applications
More and more eyecare practices are turning to the internet to place orders and learn about frames. FRAMES Data Online is our online database that subscribers use to search for frames and see full color frame images. Frames Data is also the engine that powers leading online applications and portals.

Our listing of lenses, the Lenses Product Guide, is produced bi-annually in December and June. Listing deadlines are 3/31/2009 and 10/10/2009

Our listing of contact lenses, produced in conjunction with the Review of Cornea & Contact Lenses, is produced annually in July. The deadline for inclusion in the next issue is 4/30/2009.

The Diagnostic Instruments and Equipment Product Guide is produced annually in cooperation with The Review of Optometry. The deadline for inclusion in the next issue is 6/5/2009.
